1971 Silver Streak 32' Continental — 1971 32' Silver Streak — Two owners. Second owner acquired unit in 1983 and it has been on a campground site from 1983 until winter when they replaced it was a new park model. Huge rear bath room, twin beds, kitchen has 110 volt refrigerator, front sofa. Nice body with no noticeable dents, metal rock shields on front and corner windows, awnings, Exposed frame needs touched up with paint and aluminium to be polished. Very nice unit for the age. Gas bottles were removed. Trailer comes with the original sales slips, owners manual, appliances manuals, and all repair receipts since new. Really nice unit for a camp site or can easily be put back on road with new tires (they look good but they are over 20 years old). Serial Number for Silver Streak fans is 32-7RTFA-5452. One look and you can tell why Avion, Silver Streak and Streamline were the top coaches of the RV industry in 1971. $4,500.00. (5/6/2005). Contact between 7:00 am to 4:00 pm (Eastern time): Chuck Cayo, Service Manager, Cayo Incorporated, 4835 North M-140, Watervliet, MI 49098. AC 269-463-5068 between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm Eastern or Fax AC 269-463-5073.   [It's not an Avion but an aluminium classic at Cayo's. It will not be there very long. I will send photos and comments but only until the unit is sold.  DrG ]   Visit http://www.tompatterson.com/Silverstreak/Silverstreak.html — Tom Patterson's Silverstreak Website for more details on Silverstreak Trailers.

Just my opinion from my examination on May 5th

This unit appears much better in person
Than in these photos.

Exterior appears normal for trailer of this age.
Exterior needs polishing & exposed frame painted but no large dents
or obvious damage anywhere on the exterior. Just needs a good cleaning
and attention to detail. I thought gas tanks had been removed but in photos
looks like they are still there.

Interior has water damage (appears to have occurred a long time ago) on the
Regrigerator Cabinet wall the lower about 1 foot. Easy to correct or repair.
Appears to have been caused by previous refrigerator. The original RV Refrigerator
had been replaced with apartment size 110v refrigerator that is an exact fit into the
refrigerator opening (handles were taped to keep them closed for traveling).
You would need an invertor to use on the road but perfect if are on a park site.
Saw no other visible damage. Unit has sat since 1983 on a camping site near Watervliet
and owner replaced with a new Park Model which is why it is now at Cayo's. Only the water
damage on the refrigator wall (plainly visible in photo) and the 110V refrigerator are
the only major concerns I observed. Tires are over 22 years old so obviously need replacment

Do not normally post photos or opinions but think who ever is looking for a larger
aluminium trailer from this time period, this would be the one to examine for yourself.

Trailer is parked at Cayo's in Watervliet

Just my opinion from my examination on May 5th

Exterior appears perfect except for normal aging of the paint stripes.
Could find nothing wrong with exterior or interior that cleaning couldn't improve on.
The paint strip around the bottom is slightly fadedand should be buffed out
or repainted. Also the burgundy tape strip is faded. Unit does come with
Hitch and bars (in photos). Despite what you see in the photos the trailer
does need a good cleaning and cabinets need touchup with Old English Scratch Remover (light)
for very minor marks on cabinet and below refrigerator but I saw no major marks any
where on my examination. Mot of the cabinetry on these units has had water damage
from normal useage at the sink but not this one.

One of the support arms on the front rock shield is missing.
Of course Cayo's sells the parts so you know where to get the replacement at.
They do not own the trailer, it is owned by a private party. Cleaning is the only
thing I can see. The stove needs cleaning and the stove cover may have to be replaced
if it does not clean. Appears it may be just beyond the cleaning stage.
Also the toilet might be better to replace than to clean. Again just my opinion.
but then I am not known to be the world's best clearner but this trailer needs cleaning.
There is no visible signs of wear on the upholstery which is very
unusual in these models as that is the first sign of useage and this trailer does not
show that as you can see in the photos. This is a one owner unit and well maintained.
But the owner can no longer tow so needs to sell trailer. Price has been greatly
reduced from what the owner wanted last year and now wants the until sold quickly.

Second airconditioner was added at the rear Bedroom. I did not check if the electical was
converted to higher amperage (most are not) so you still can only run one at a time. The
Fantastic Vent cover with Exhauset is also included (was replaced by the air conditioner).
32-S models are twin axles and 32'10" in length so the largest twin axles trailer built by Avion
and my favorit floor plan.
I would have bought the trailer had I not bought an older one for a lot more money last year
This is one to act quickly on. A good clean up and your are on the road with a really nice trailer.

This is a local trailer that has been serviced by Cayo so they are familiar with it and believe it has
a clean bill of health and I saw nothing that would indicate otherwise.
